New Year Reflection Questions
Last year about this time a friend gave me a book with questions designed to help reflect on the past year and set the space for intentions for a new year. She had made the book by putting a question at the top of each page and then having blank space underneath on which I could write answers to those questions. It was a lovely experience of consciously taking the time to imagine what I wanted to create for the future and all the things I had achieved for the previous year and eventually led me to make a vision board in order to capture the essence of my new year resolutions.
Though the end result might look similar to the typical new year resolutions, the underlying process is deeper and more profound so that the actual resolutions, I think, are more powerful. I am getting ready to do the process again and want to share those questions with you, too! Of course, they won’t be in a lovely, homemade book but you are welcome to make of them whatever serves you best.
Here they are:
- What are my wins/successes in 2009?
- What are my disappointments from 2009?
- What were my big discoveries in 2009?
- What am I grateful for from the past year?
- What are my favorite memories from 2009?
- What do I intend to create in 2010?
Questions are adapted from Barbara McRae, http://www.enhancedlife.com
Have fun and let me know what new revelations pop up in the process or, at the end of next year, what you were able to create.
