After the trance dance, you will end with a deep relaxation guided by a Gong bath meditation. Trance dancing has nothing to do with the expectations of others, and everything to do with awakening the body with internal, natural expression, letting your spirit flow. Dance is a way of exploring non-ordinary reality (vs. ordinary reality of day to day life). Trance dancing is a vision quest that will bring out your true inner, creative self. |

Sunday Kundalini YogaWhen: Sunday August 15th, 4-5 pm The Kundalini energy is the energy of the soul and your creative potential. It is something that already exists within you but is simply waiting to be awakened and utilized. To release this energy from it's dormant state and live in alignment with your fullest potential, your Infinite Self, you can utilize this time-tested and effective technology.
At times it can be aerobic, at times it can be quiet and reflective, but it is always a unique and uplifting experience. Kundalini Yoga is done in specific sets called Kriyas. These sets combine poses and exercises to create a specific, cumulative effect. Because of the composite and balanced effect, it is important to follow the integrity of the set and not add, delete or change the order of the exercises or alter the time ratio of the sequence. There are literally hundreds of different sets and meditations each geared towards a unique focus but which all have the common goal of balancing the chakras and bringing healing and harmony to the bodymind. Self-Care Empowerment Programs - Fall 2010 SessionsThese sessions combine learning modules and resource activities along with coaching time for well-rounded support around specific topics.
